What is an Air Sanitizer?
Air Sanitizer is an electronic device that disinfects the indoor air from a wide range of airborne pathogens like virus, bacteria, fungus, etc.

What is UV Air sanitizer?
UV air sanitizer is designed based on UVGI (UltraViolet Germicidal Irradiation)
technology which is proven to be effective in killing all dangerous disease causing pathogens for many years in the medical industry.

What is special about Dokat’s Deep UV? What did Dokat do differently from normal UV technology?
The germicidal properties of UV-C are at their peak at different wavelengths. Normal UV bulbs operate in a single frequency, So any pathogen that has resistance to the particular wavelength could still survive after the sanitization process is complete. Our patent pending Deep UV technology generates a broad spectrum of germicidal wavelengths in a single bulb. So the disinfection happens at peak at multiple wavelengths, which greatly increases the efficiency of the Air sanitization process killing maximum germs in the air. In short, Dokat Air has high efficacy against a wide range of infectious microorganisms.

Should I be worried about the UVC light? Is it safe to use? Is this product safe for humans?
It's absolutely safe. It's 100% UV leak proof. It’s tested for safety in laboratories and you can see it in the safety report.

Direct human exposure to UV-C is actually harmful right?
Yes. That’s why we designed the product in a way so that there is NO UV leak outside. Our product is completely safe and it can be used when humans are around. It’s like the water purifiers you use at homes today.

How much area does it cover?
DOKAT Air PRO disinfects 4000 cubic feet of Air in 1 hr. Approximately it can take care of 600 sq ft of space. DOKAT Air disinfects 1000 cubic feet of Air in 1 hr. Approximately it can take care of 200 sq ft of space.
It’s like AC capacity. Based on the size of the indoors, you can choose the appropriate size and the number of units.

Has UVC light been tested and proven to kill Covid-19? Has this technology been specifically tested to kill COVID19?
Ultraviolet light is an efficient, proven, and effective technology for eliminating viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19.
Dr. David Brenner, director of the Center for Radiological Research at Columbia
University, did his experiment in a containment laboratories at biosafety level 3 for the purpose of testing the efficacy of miniaturized UV lamps to kill COVID-19.
In June 2020, Dr. Brenner reported the first-ever demonstrated test of ultraviolet that efficiently killed the virus that causes COVID-19.
UVC technology is also used in China (Shanghai) and Russia (Moscow) Metro’s for disinfection.

As per CDC guidelines, currently the UV Germicidal irradiation is used by several medical institutions across the world to disinfect the N95 masks that are used by the healthcare professionals and Covid positive patients.

Not just in this one experiment, but UVC has been widely proven to be effective against SARS and similar viruses, so it’s reasonable to assume effectiveness against Covid-19.

What if I want to cover a larger space?
For larger spaces you can use additional units.

How long will the bulb last? Can it be changed?
This type of bulb (quartz-mercury) lasts about 6000 hours. Yes it can be changed. We will offer replacement bulbs, they will not be very expensive. It’s just INR 300 if you want to change it yourself. It’s like changing a normal light bulb.

Does it generate sound while functioning?
It’s virtually noise free. The noise of operation is under 40DB. It’s super quiet in

Does it generate heat?
It doesn’t.

How long can I operate?
It can run 24x7 without any issues. When you run out of 6000 hours, just call us for service, we will help you replace the bulbs. You can also order a bulb replacement and replace it yourself. It will just cost INR 300.

Does it generate ozone? Is it safe to breathe?
Dokat Air doesn’t generate Ozone. It’s thoroughly tested in our partner labs in Germany for any Ozone emission. It’s 100% ozone free. It’s currently used in hospitals, homes and in areas with children and it’s absolutely safe.

UVC is supposed to be invisible, but I can see light from the rim and middle. What’s that?
The bulb emits mainly in the 254 nm UVC range but there is also a little residual
violet light and some other parts of the visual spectrum. That’s the glow you see. It’s intentionally made visible at the rim and middle so that you know the light is working.

Can this device reduce odors in the air?
It will do that, yes. We have done several odor tests and it has given great results. It's super effective in controlling organic odour.
We did a test with Dokat Air inside a refrigerator with huge fungus build up. In just 1 hour, it eliminated bad odour completely. This is one of our team’s practical experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of our Dokat Air Sanitizer.

Is this device cETL electrical-safety certified for Canada and USA?
Yes it is.

How does it compare with HEPA filters?
HEPA filters are Air purifiers and NOT Air sanitizers. They eliminate participle impurities in the air, BUT NOT germs. HEPA filter pours are around 3 microns in size and therefore don’t filter viruses and are NOT efficient in killing all types of bacterias.

I am in an A/C room, so i can’t get airborne disease?

Are A/C rooms safe?
A/C rooms don’t filter pathogens in Air. They infect enhance the spread of Air-borne infections. Air sanitizers are highly recommended in indoor spaces, even if it's a well ventilated room.

Is maintaining Social distancing not enough in indoor spaces?
WHO & CDC reports say ‘corona’ is airborne. So, it’s wise to have air sanitizers to disinfect indoor air in addition to maintaining social distancing. Airborne infections travel very far and stay in the air as long as 12 hours. Airborne pathogens can also travel miles before it’s deactivated. So social distancing alone can’t protect you. So social distance is not enough to stop the spread of airborne diseases. Air sanitizers continuously kill germs in the air and make the indoor air safer to breathe.

We are all wearing facemasks, do I still need Air Sanitizer indoors ?
Facemasks prevent you from droplet infection spread, but NOT airborne infections. Not all facemasks are safe in preventing airborne diseases. The layers of facemasks are way larger than 3 microns and viruses are less than micron in size. It’s easy for viruses to spread from one person to another even if they are wearing face masks.
If you are wearing a facemask whose pours are <1 micron in diameter, it will be hard to breathe. Not all masks are medical grade and pass the fitment test. Almost all of the facemask pours are more than 3 microns in diameters, so almost all facemasks today, don’t effectively stop the spread of airborne viruses.
Also, in places like restaurants not everyone wears facemask all the time, given a huge opportunity for pathogens to spread.

Does Dokat Air have filters?
Yes. Dokat Air has washable pre-filter, to filter macro pollutants in the air. Dokat Air is a HEPA-less design and therefore has almost no maintenance that the regular Air purifiers need.

How do I know it’s cleaning the air?
We want to make sure that our product works. We have tested it individually in 4
different government approved laboratories. Please refer to the lab reports.
UV functionality can also be tested with UV FASTCHECK STRIPS and those are
available online. If used in a space that normally has odors, the odors should be reduced or eliminated. The freshness of germ free air is felt more in indoor A/C rooms. Comparable Lab tests indicate that in a 3 cubic meter space, 92% of test pathogens are destroyed within 60 minutes.
